Ariane Beldi
Right now, I'm a Writing Workshop tutor, helping students with their paper, thesis and dissertation. I'm also trying to create a blog devoted to the scientific method and how it is implemented by researchers in various fields.
I've a Ph.D. in Media & Communication Studies at the University of Strasbourg, France. I worked on the role played by the DVD as an interface of technological and textual translation in the reception of TV series distributed around the world. My case-study concerned the textual and technological reception of Japanese anime DVD. In general, I'm interested in the appropriation of media technologies and how these process affect the way we relate to each others as humans and to our surrounding world. I'm particularly interested in issues of culture, identity and history.
