Deac Rossell is the author of books and articles on early cinema, the magic lantern, and the historical relationship between journalism and film. He is a former National Special Projects Officer for the Directors Guild of America; Head of Programme Planning for the National Film Theatre, British Film Institute, London; and Film Coordinator for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
