The Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is a multi-organ transplant center that opened in 2017. It has performed the first heart transplant, kidney transplant and liver transplant in the UAE. In the past year, it has performed over 80 kidney transplants, 52 liver transplants, 32 heart transplants and six lung surgeries. It has also performed the UAE's first combined heart and pancreas transplant. The team's accomplishments have boosted its global reputation.

The transplant center is a 400-bed facility owned by VPS Healthcare, an Abu Dhabi-based medical group. It has recently signed a deal to open a multi-organ transplant center in collaboration with the KIMS Institute located at the KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad, India. It will have a team of doctors led by Dr Sandeep Attawar. The hospitals will share technology and expertise.
