I'm an associate professor (teaching track) in the College of Engineering, Design and Computing at CU Denver. I teach mostly Human-Centered Design and Foundations of Computation, with a goal of helping every student take advantage of computational tools and empower them as designers. I research transformative experiences in higher education — those moments when students connect what they learn in the classroom with the “real world,” a process that requires motivation and taps into their perceptual expertise and creativity
