Reginald T. Gardner

Reginald is an ambitious doctoral student focused on games research at The University of California, Irvine.

Reginald T. Gardner Jr. received their B.A. in Political Science from Binghamton University in 2015. As an undergraduate, they focused on the political history of the Middle East and North Africa. Reginald then made an academic shift, earning an M.S. in Student Affairs Administration and an M.P.A., as well as a Certificate in Community College Teaching in 2017. During their graduate studies, they spent time serving Binghamton University through their work in Residential Life, Bartle Library, and First Year Experience programs. They also served as a President and executive board member of several student organizations and worked closely with the local community as a committee chair for the Binghamton Town Gown Advisory Board. In order to meld their lifelong loves of gaming and education, Reginald is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Informatics. Under the advisement of Katie Salen Tekinbaş, they are currently studying conflict mediation in online multiplayer games. When they aren't working, Reginald can be found lurking around Kickstarter looking for new games to fund, or competing in amateur League of Legends Tournaments.
