Heather Jean Uhl
Heather Jean Uhl is a faculty librarian at Everett Community College in Everett, WA and advisor to EvCC's Japanese Club. She holds an MLIS from University of Washington and BAs in Art History & Studio Art from Humboldt State University.
Heather is a noted speaker and gives lectures on academic aspects of anime/manga at Sakura-Con where she is known by her convention persona Lady Librarian. She has also presented on the topic of kimono fashion at Bellevue College's Aki Matsuri. She is an artist and works with the idea of Meijipunk: a hybrid fashion aesthetic steeped in history and multiculturalism aligned with the international Steampunk movement.
