Mariana Ziku (MA, MSc) is a PhD candidate and research associate at the Intelligent Interaction RG, Dept. of Cultural Technology and Communication, University of the Aegean in Greece and the co-founder of the Biennale of Western Balkans. She specialises in the area of cultural informatics and digital heritage, with technical research focus on crowdsourcing systems and open data. Her practice involves the digital transformation of intangible cultural heritage and the promotion of open GLAM and public participation in cross-border arts, culture and research programmes in the Balkans.
