Mike is a researcher and lecturer in digital media within the University of Huddersfield's School of Music, Humanities and Media. He has taught media production skills for twenty years, including course management and design.

He achieved his MA (Distinction) in Screenwriting at the University of Salford and his Batchelor Degree at The Open University. He is currently conducting PhD research into the impact of social media and convergence on the television screenwriter.

Mike is an officer of British Mensa and edits the society’s NOW magazine with a monthly print circulation of 2,000 copies.
