Currently I am Research Associate in the ERC funded LOOP-Project (Late Ottoman Palestiniens) at Ruhr-University Bochum, responsible for the project database and data modeling. From 2019 until September 2022 I was at the Leibniz-Institute for Contemporary History in Potsdam (ZZF) in the BMBF funded project "the media heritage of the GDR" as curator of online portals. From 2015 to 2018 I was Research Associate at the Institute for Migration and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) at University of Osnabrück working in the data driven history working-group on GIS representations of historical migration. From 2009 to 2015 I was Manager of electronic and print publications at the Max-Planck-Institute for Legal History in Frankfurt/M (Germany). In my research I am working on digital humanities, film and history, film and migration and on Latin-American Studies. Besides I produce independent documentary films on social and historical issues. I co-founded and managed 20 editions of the Latin-American film festival and 10 editions of the Spanish film festival in Hamburg (Germany).
