James Pontes completed his J.D. at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Head-trauma is the cause of James' disability.  Today James fasces his challenges abd continues his pot-graduate studies with College of the Desert's Disabled Student Program Services. 

Asa person with a cognitive disability, James applies his expertise as a legal scholar: collaborating with faculty and staff on reasonable accommodation guides, staffing disabled- and veteran-services pro bono legal clinics performing other civic volunteer roles.
