I am an historian of late medieval Scotland specializing in agency, gender, and material culture in fourteenth- and fifteenth-century Scotland. My current research interests pursue several intellectual threads including heraldic and non-heraldic Scottish personal seals and sigillographic methodologies, women and Scots law, and agency and consent in law and practice.
