My current interest lies in privacy and security within the digital and physical world. Technology has afforded us many conveniences often at a higher price tag than we know we are paying. New technology seems to emerge everyday but the privacy and security of the end user seem to be the least important aspect of the product. We are starting to see users take action when they feel their privacy is being invaded by this technology. As such I am interested in studying not only the mechanisms by which we can provide, ensure, and inform users but also how users perceive privacy and security.

Privacy and security have always been an interest of mine. Many people claim they do in fact want a level of privacy but few act on it. Investigating the reason this is will provide insight to how we can help users in taking the appropriate level of action when their rights are violated.
