Christian Boulanger is Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory in Frankfurt, Germany. He studied Modern History, Law and Political Science in Heidelberg, Berlin and Seattle and holds a PhD in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin. Research interests: comparative constitutionalism and comparative judicial studies, sociology of law & socio-legal studies, post-communist studies with focus on East Central Europe, sociology of punishment.
