Jess Feltner
Jess Feltner is the assistant director for Data Justice in College Park Scholars. She has a deep commitment to sustainable and ethical digital ecosystems, an accessible yet decentralized internet, and the exploration of playfulness and personal connection in digital spaces. She shares these perspectives with Data Justice students via colloquium topics, field trips, and co-curricular activities.
Feltner earned a BA in history with a minor in public history from Meredith College, graduating with the distinction of summa cum laude. She attended both the University of California – Berkeley and Middlebury College for postgraduate studies in Mandarin and East Asian studies.
Feltner is dedicated to intersectionality, hopepunk and transformational justice, and is always looking for ways to bring these values to campus. When not at work, her interests include fiber arts, creative coding, gardening and cuddling with her two cats.
